Overview:

BlackPlanet is a social networking site geared toward the Black community. Users create a profile in which they can display pictures, videos, status updates, and blog. Profiles may be private or open to the public. BlackPlanet also has a dating service available to users aged eighteen and older and a job posting section. Launched in 1999, BlackPlanet has over 16 million members.
