The state of Pennsylvania has officially started taking action against sexting in a new measure called House Bill 2189 which would keep teenagers caught sexting from having to register on the state’s sex offender list. This week, the state’s House of Representatives passed the bill and it is now in the state Senate’s hands.
The bill, which includes a tiered system ranging from summary to second degree misdemeanor charges, offers minors caught sexting alternatives to jail sentences, including community service and educational programs.
