Friendster is a social networking website for adults 18 and over. It is designed to help people stay in touch by sharing photos, videos, and comments through a profile page and social groups. The site is also used for dating. Users can customize profiles through pre-designed skins or Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). Although most profile information can be kept private to all but user-chosen friends, Friendster also creates a public profile for each user. The public profile displays each user’s photos, hometown, interests, and other information. Friendster has over 115 million registered users and approximately 90% of its traffic comes from Asia.
