Geared specifically toward young people (aged 13 and older), hi5 enables users to create an online profile to share interests, photos, age, and hometown information. Users send friend requests through email to other users. hi5 has several levels of privacy settings; at its most secure, a profile is only viewable to those within a user’s network of friends. Although hi5 is an American company, it is most popular in Latin America.
