Overview:

Launched in 2000, MiGente.com is a social networking site targeted at the Hispanic community. Users create a profile page on which they can share photos, videos, a blog, the school they attend, and favorite songs. Users become friends with other users, and only friends may leave comments on a profile page, but otherwise the profile page can be viewed by anyone on the internet unless the user chooses a more strict privacy option. MiGente also has a strong dating component. MiGente allows users to see which other MiGente members have viewed their profile page.
