Overview:

Twitter enables users to publish Tweets: text-based posts of up to 140 characters. Tweets are posted to a user’s profile page and published to subscribers called followers. Twitter was founded in 2006 and was followed by numerous other services, like Twitgoo, which allow users to share tweets and photos on Twitter.
